Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston concerning how Charleston police acted in DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston reporting, was a co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving into Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor on weekends. Alongside her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows to The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
